Position Title: Laundry Attendant
Average Contract Length: 8 months on/2 months off
Privilege Level: Crew
Minimum Hours Per Week: 70 hours per week
Average Hours Per Week/Day: 80-90 hrs per week ** 10-12 hrs per day
Berthing: Shared – 1-3 roommates

Reporting:
- Reports to: Assistant Laundry Manager
- Direct reports: N/A
Top 4 Responsibilities:
- Full understanding and operation of washers and dryer equipment
- Clean up the dryer ducts and laundry area frequently
- Meet all Disney Cruise Line and VSP sanitation expectations and requirements
- Familiarity with flatwork iron
Job Responsibilities:
- Sort all linen on a day-to-day basis
- Load and unload all washers and dryers in an experienced manner. On Dream class ships, learn to operate the tunnel washer
- Operate pressing machine for all laundry and fold towels
- Sort, fold, and distribute clean linen to the appropriate area
- Report any stained, damaged clothing/items to the Wash Specialist or Dry Cleaning Specialist
- Assist other team members in completing their assigned duties
- Meet Coast Guard Standards in designated areas
Required/Desired Experience, Qualifications, Education, Licenses:
- Previous laundry experience of some level preferred; past working experiences in the textile industry a plus but not required
- Knowledge of commercial laundry operation and fabric treatments
- Motivated to work in an accelerated and repetitive environment
- Flexibility to work both day and night shifts
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and complete repetitive physical assignments
