Position Title: Photographer

Average Contract Length: 6 months on/2 months off

Top 4 Responsibilities:

  • Provide an exceptional Guest experience by setting up, creating, producing, and selling photographic souvenirs that meet or exceed the company’s standards of quality
  • Expertise in photographic skill that creates an engaging experience for our guests

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interact with Guests in a positive and helpful manner to enhance their experience in posing for and buying cruise photos
  • Shoot photographs of Guests in various natural and studio light locations in accordance with service standards and location operating guidelines
  • Take high-quality photos in both indoor and outdoor settings with a variety of lighting settings
  • Ensure every photo generating activity is performed to standards including set up, during Guest interaction, and tear down
  • Focus on photography sales and conversion. Sell all product offerings (i.e. images, photobooks, private portrait studio, retail, etc.)
  • Manage POS functions with sales, returns, and guest service inquiries. Manage retail and supply inventory
  • Ensure all camera and related photography equipment is in working order. Assist if able to correct or report equipment abnormalities to leadership
  • Partner with other departments to utilize their space in order to create exceptional photos for our guests
  • Transport studio equipment to and from different locations around the ship. Setup and break down portrait studios as directed and ensure compliance with safety standards (this could include the use of ladders to set up and breakdown multiple backdrops and lights and the need to carry photo equipment for long periods of time)

Required/Desired Experience, Qualifications, Education, Licenses:

  • 1-year DSLR experience
  • Able to push, lift and carry up to 50 pounds including up and down ladders
  • Comfortable working outdoors in inclement weather both in warm and cold climates, including our islands which include extensive outdoor work in humid climates
  • Flexible to help with tasks that go beyond the photographer role
  • Comfortable working in an ever-changing fast-paced environment (e.g., at a character Meet & Greet, a photographer could be interacting with up to 60 families, taking 5-6 photos per family = 300 photos per hour)
