Position Title: Dining Room Service

Contract Length: 6 months on/2 months off

Privilege Level: Crew Hours Per Week: 84 hours minimum (10-12 hours per day, potential overtime)

Berthing: Shared with 1-3 roommates

  • Reports to: Assistant Restaurant Manager
  • Direct reports: None

Top Job Responsibilities:

  • Organize and coordinate service for 16-22 guests in the dining room, with 2 dinner seatings per night
  • Follow the direction of the server and coordinate service
  • Pick up trays from the kitchen with up to 14 appetizer courses or 9 main courses (10-15 lbs)
  • Perform side work and other duties as assigned by management
  • Work in quick service and fast food outlets, including Castaway Cay and buffets

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle all types of food products, including allergens
  • Use computer work station (Micros system) to ring in beverages
  • Provide service for breakfast and lunch in various locations, including Castaway Cay and pool decks
  • Coordinate ordering, pick-up, and delivery of all food and beverages
  • Partner with servers to provide a seamless guest experience
  • Maintain USPH sanitation and cleanliness standards
  • Practice up-selling and suggestive selling techniques
  • Follow responsible vendor procedures for alcohol service, including verifying guest age and discontinuing service as necessary
  • Additional duties may include midnight buffet/snacks and deck party food and beverage service

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum six months experience as a server in a high volume full-service restaurant (100-150+ covers per meal period) within the last two years
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage, including international wines and cocktail recipes
  • Comfortable speaking to groups and providing menu recommendations
  • Ability to carry a banquet tray
  • Ship experience a plus
