As a Custodial Hair Braider Hostess, you will maintain cleanliness across guest and crew areas while offering professional hair braiding services. This role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and strong guest service skills.
Qualifications & Skills
- Cleaning Experience: Previous professional cleaning experience, including knowledge of cleaning chemicals.
- Braiding Expertise: Skilled in various braiding styles, working with different hair textures and lengths.
- Precision & Efficiency: Ability to create stylish, well-structured braids in a timely manner.
- Sanitation & Hygiene: Strict adherence to hygiene standards and the ability to identify scalp conditions.
- Physical Endurance: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, perform extensive walking, bending, and standing.
- Guest Service Focus: Previous experience in a guest-facing role preferred.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate across departments and assist as needed.
- Work Flexibility: Shifts cover both day and night; willingness to adapt to custodial and hair braiding assignments.
Key Responsibilities
Custodial Duties
- Clean and sanitize public guest areas, back-of-house spaces, and crew accommodations.
- Assist with luggage handling during embarkation and debarkation.
- Perform custodial tasks on the private island, including restroom and guest area maintenance.
- Support pool deck operations and respond to housekeeping needs.
- Maintain proper inventory of cleaning supplies and ensure workspace upkeep.
- Assist guests with directions and general inquiries while maintaining high service standards.
Hair Braider Duties
- Schedule and manage guest appointments for hair braiding services.
- Provide attentive, personalized service while creating unique braided designs.
- Maintain hygiene standards and ensure workspace cleanliness per Disney Cruise Line guidelines.
- Handle payments professionally and submit transactions to Retail Management.
- Address guest concerns with professionalism and ensure an exceptional experience.
