Job Description: Custodial Host/Hostess

Position Title: Custodial Host/Hostess

Contract Length: 8 months on/2 months off

Minimum Hours Per Week: 70 hours

Average Hours Per Week/Day: 80-90 hours per week / 10-12 hours per day (Overtime available for volunteers)

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize all public guest areas, back of house, and crew areas including restrooms, hallways, landings, staircases, and crew/officer cabins.
• Handle and distribute guest luggage during embark and debark process.
• Maintain workspaces according to DCL standards and report maintenance issues.
• Flexible schedule required; shifts may include Crew Cabin Cleaners, Day and Night shift Custodial based on operational needs.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Work in all housekeeping/custodial areas as needed.
• Use various chemicals, cleaners, sanitizers, and disinfectants.
• Handle and maintain housekeeping equipment (e.g., shampoo machine, vacuum cleaners, suction/blower fans).
• Remove dirty dishes/glassware from public areas.
• Work on the private island on a rotation basis; clean and maintain toilets and guest areas.
• Assist guests with directions and general information.

Qualifications:

• Previous cleaning experience, including use of chemicals.
• Floor cleaning equipment experience preferred; knowledge in floor care is a plus.
• Experience working in a high guest service-focused company preferred.
• Extremely flexible; shifts cover both day and night.
• Physically fit, able to lift 50 lbs and bend.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
