
House Person – Disney Cruise Line
As a House Person, you will support housekeeping operations by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and inventory management throughout guest and crew areas. This role requires physical endurance, attention to detail, and strong guest service skills.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum of one year in housekeeping or custodial work within the last three years.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push heavy trolleys.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with housekeeping accessories such as rails, playpens, and diaper genies is a plus.
- Inventory Management: Ability to track and organize supplies.
- Guest Service Focus: High interaction with guests; previous hospitality experience preferred.
- Ship Experience: Prior cruise ship experience is beneficial but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain stock levels of linens and cleaning supplies in provisional lockers.
- Deliver necessary equipment and products to Stateroom Hosts/Hostesses.
- Ensure cleanliness of crew areas, including staircases, landings, and pantries.
- Provide requested items for guests, such as towels, pillows, ice, and cribs.
- Collect and distribute dirty linens and towels to designated sections.
- Assist with trash collection during embarkation and debarkation days.
- Handle and deliver guest luggage, ensuring timely distribution on arrival and departure days.
- Oversee cleanliness in guest launderettes, ensuring restocking and maintenance.
- Support deck operations by clearing dirty linens, garbage, and supplies.
- Work with housekeeping-approved cleaning solutions and disinfectants per MSDS guidelines.
This role requires strong organizational skills, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining Disney Cruise Line’s high standards for cleanliness and guest service.
