Commis Chef Pastry – Disney Cruise Line

As a Pastry Chef, you will play a crucial role in crafting high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods while maintaining industry standards for hygiene and efficiency. This role requires expertise in pastry preparation, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: At least one year in a high-volume professional kitchen.
  • Training: Formal Pastry Chef training or equivalent experience as a Pastry Cook preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Work Environment: Comfortable working independently during night shifts.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with USPH regulations for food safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of desserts, cakes, pastries, and specialty items for restaurant menus and buffet service.
  • Assist with creating pastries, cakes, crèmes, decorative showpieces, ice cream, and sorbets.
  • Support the Demi CDP Pastry in all aspects of pastry production and food safety compliance.
  • Maintain high-quality standards in presentation, taste, and consistency.
  • Follow company protocols, shipboard regulations, and hygiene requirements.
