Position Title: Stateroom Service Attendant
Average Contract Length: 6 months on/2 months off
Minimum Hours Per Week: 70 hours per week
Average Hours Per Week/Day: 80-90 hrs per week, 10-12 hrs per day
Guest Contact: High
Top 3 Responsibilities:
- Provide stateroom dining to our 875 staterooms for 24-hour Room Service
- Responsible for all side work including stocking pantry, maintaining equipment, setting up trays, and monitoring guest passageways to clear dirty trays
- Responsible for delivering daily amenities to all Guest suites
Job Responsibilities:
- Preparation of orders, involving light culinary work
- Responsible for regular maintenance of Food and Beverage setup
- Collect all posted breakfast orders from Guest staterooms
- Request proof of identity to verify age of Guest before serving alcoholic drinks to Guests that appear to be under age
- Demonstrate ability and confidence to discontinue serving alcohol to specific Guests
- Maintain USPH sanitation and cleanliness standards throughout work area
- Practice up-selling and suggestive selling techniques
Required/Desired: Experience, Qualifications, Education, Licenses:
- Minimum one year industry-related work experience required
- Room service experience required
- Ship experience preferred
- Good phone etiquette
- Ability to lift 30 lb. tray
