Assistant Bartender – Disney Cruise Line
As an Assistant Bartender, you will support beverage operations by preparing and serving drinks while ensuring compliance with food safety and guest service standards. This role requires strong product knowledge, salesmanship, and adherence to Disney Cruise Line regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum of one year in bar-trade operations and at least two years in food & beverage service.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of international cocktail recipes and alcohol brands.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and carry trays with multiple drinks.
- Preferred Experience: Previous shipboard experience is beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify guest identification before serving alcoholic beverages to those appearing underage.
- Exercise judgment in discontinuing alcohol service when necessary.
- Adhere to food safety protocols and maintain USPH sanitation standards.
- Drive revenue through suggestive selling, upselling, and promoting themed menus and signature drinks.
